The legendary film director was perhaps best known for directing the original Godzilla film and for his work on other entries in the franchise.
But, compared to the creatures that Henry discovered his son with back in the Time Bureau, Thanksgiving dinner seemed rather normal after all. What ensued was a hilarious display of family dysfunction that we couldn’t help but laugh at. This was once again showcased nicely in this outing as Henry invited Nate and Ava Sharpe over for Thanksgiving dinner. When Nate learned the truth, he eventually spilled his time-traveling secrets to his father and it ultimately allowed the pair to become closer. However, the writers managed to shock us when they revealed that he was in charge of funding government organizations and, as a result, had regular meetings with the Time Bureau. The introduction of Nate Heywood’s father, Henry, was a pleasant surprise that allowed us to get to know a little more about the Legends’ resident historian and his life before becoming Citizen Steel. What a journey you’ve been on Mick, what a journey indeed. Hilarity aside (and there was a lot of it), it’s great that all of the Legends are seemingly aware of Mick’s secret talent and now that he saw her in real life, the former arsonist was able to complete his novel. After that, Mick made passionate love to his own character.
Mick took the magical book and wrote his own story, allowing the busty beauty that he once spoke of in his sci-fi romance novel to come to life and defeat that giant octopus right before our very eyes. As bizarrely brilliant as it sounds, it was a fantastic idea for the show’s creative team to resurrect his hidden talent at such an apt time – and it came in handy when the Tagumo (that Sara had shrunk to a smaller size with Ray’s shrink-ray) tried to attack Honda. If you recall, back in Season 2, Zari discovered that Mick was a secret writer who seemed to have a penchant for erotic fiction. Fortunately for them, they had the most unlikely creative genius of them all: Mick Rory. The only way to change the fate of Tokyo was for the Legends to find a new creative host for the book to bond with. However, after a little investigating, the Legends soon discovered that the creature, called Tagumo, was a creation from the mind of writer/director Ishirō Honda – who came into possession of a magical book, creating Tagumo on the paper, initially unaware that it would manifest before his very eyes. The episode’s main storyline revolved around a giant octopus that mysteriously surfaced in Tokyo, intent on destroying the city before it. As Courtney Ford is officially a regular on the show this year, we already know that this isn’t the last we have seen of the character – and that is undoubtedly a great thing! Rory The Writer There is a lot of redemption taking place within the Arrowverse these days, but Nora’s arc is quickly becoming a compelling one, unique to its own environment. While this was undoubtedly enough to redeem herself in both Ray and Constantine’s eyes, Nora took things one step further and officially surrendered to the Time Bureau, ending her time on the run. And thus, she resurrected her magic and transferred some much-needed life-force into the demon hunter, saving his life. While the internal struggle within her was undoubtedly clear, she quickly recognized what the right thing to do was. Unfortunately for Ray, he was unable to stop thinking about her and thus, when John Constantine’s life depended on a magical intervention, he saw this as the perfect opportunity to reach out to her.įearful of returning to her dark ways, Nora initially refused to help as she preferred life without dark magic.
